Elemental Alchemy: Zodiac

For those of you who have seen my Elemental Alchemy Chart (as well as read my Journal information) would know that I'm very interested in things like Spirituality and Philosophy, including things such as Astrology, in which I absolutely love. I have constructed a chart corresponding my Elemental Alchemy to the Zodiac. As you can see, one would have to be familiar with the Elemental Alchemical concept (and possibly as well as the fundamentals of Astrology) in order to comprehend the playout of this chart [link] .

In Astrology, every Star Sign is attributed an Element. The Elements represent the essential qualities that reflect the sign's overall behavior:

Fire: Aries/Leo/Sagittarius = Ambitious, Intuitional, Willful
Earth: Taurus/Virgo/Capricorn = Practical, Sensational, Materialistic
Air: Gemini/Libra/Aquarius = Intellectual, Thinking, Social
Water: Cancer/Scorpio/Pisces = Emotional, Feeling, Spiritual

Even though the Signs are corresponded to one of the Four Elements, each of those Signs express that certain Element in unique ways.

Aries is eruptive and angry as Lava.

Taurus is quaking and resourceful as Earth.

Gemini is striking and unpredictable as Lightning.

Cancer is shady and sheltering as Dark.

Leo is bright and joyous as Light.

Virgo is nourishing and flourishing as Nature.

Libra is airy and balanced as Wind.

Scorpio is cold and vengeful as Ice.

Sagittarius is hot and exaggerative as Fire.

Capricorn is industrious and productive as Stone.

Aquarius is universal and uncompressed as Space.

Pisces is flowing and mellow as Water.

Since each Sign is part of an Elemental Trine, this should indicate that their respective Elemental Alchemical Element is part of an Elemental group as well (and for those of you who have viewed my Elemental Alchemy: Attributes chart [link] , this can be seen as a further valitation of the concept):

Fire: Fire (Sagittarius)/Lava (Aries)/Light (Leo)
Earth: Earth (Taurus)/Nature (Virgo)/Stone (Capricorn)
Air: Wind (Libra)/Lightning (Gemini)/Space (Aquarius)
Water: Water (Pisces)/Ice (Scorpio)/Dark (Cancer)

In Astrology, every Star Sign is said to be empowered by a Celestial Body. These are addressed as their Ruling Planets or Domicile. In the ancient traditional practice of Astrology before all of the major Astronomical discoveries, there were only seven Planets known aside from Earth in which included the Sun and the Moon. Therefore, just about every Planet with the exception of the Sun and Moon ruled two Star Signs in pairs that mirror each other on the Zodiac Wheel. These Planetarily paired Signs also contrast in direct opposite Element:

Sun: Leo (Fire)
Moon: Cancer (Water)
Mercury: Gemini (Air)/Virgo (Earth)
Venus: Taurus (Earth)/Libra (Air)
Mars: Aries (Fire)/Scorpio (Water)
Jupiter: Sagittarius (Fire)/Pisces (Water)
Saturn: Capricorn (Earth)/Aquarius (Air)

This can also say that their corresponding Elemental Alchemical Element directly oppose as well (as also refferenced in Elemental Alchemy: Attributes).

There is another constellation that is believed by a few to be a thirteenth Zodiac. This is because it has been discovered that the Sun appears to Transit behind Scorpio through the constellation Ophiuchus the Snake Bearer before passing into Sagittarius. Since Ophiuchus is not part of the mainstream Astrological concept, it has not been attributed a proper Element, Quality, Polarity, House or Planet. Therefore, Ophiuchus is androgynous and I attribute to it the most neutral and formless of all the philosophical Elements, Aether.

Ophiuchus is mysterious and impartial as Spirit...

Venus: Yellow Circle with Cross
Mars: Green Circle with Arrow
Jupiter: Blue Cross with Crescent
Saturn: Violet Cross with Sickle
